Typeface - The same as font.
72 point is an inch, in font.

Serif - Natural Edges
Sans (without) Serif - Block edges
Block Serif - Same as Sans, just more bold.

Testing with Artistic Vectors

Above is an example of lettering edited using artistic vector editing on photoshop

This is a similar technique to the above, but instead using a picture of Bill Gates, the different between lettering and the face is the black and white versus the colours, the colours change a lot of things when editing vectors
